Meet Chris, Owner & Founder of Fixtopher Handyman Services

I’m Chris Anderson, owner and operator of Fixtopher Handyman Services. My path to becoming your local handyman wasn’t exactly traditional.

Before fixing faucets in Vancouver, I spent ten years as a humanitarian aid worker specializing in emergency medical and technical logistics in conflict and post-conflict zones. I worked with organizations like Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross, and various UN agencies—building healthcare facilities, maintaining warehouses, and learning to uphold international safety standards for electrical, plumbing, and waste management with whatever materials were available.

Clinical Precision, Local Care

After years of high-stakes work abroad, I returned home to Canada to be closer to family and became a Registered Nurse. Today, I balance my time between the clinic and the toolbox, working as a nurse two days a week and helping residential and commercial clients with small to medium-sized projects the rest of the time.

That nursing mindset — attention to detail, clear communication, and a genuine desire to help — is exactly what I bring to every home repair.
